Reflections on Our Big Screening (Little Screen…ing)

Last night, Geek Crash Course has its first screening at the Digitas Center as a part of Social Media Week with Big Screen Little Screen. Hosted by Paul Kotonis and Matt Semel, we felt welcome as soon as we walked in. There was food, drinks, and a really futuristic looking warp column in the middle of the room.

We screened our (spoiler alert!) Mass Effect 3 episode, out in March, which is a whirlwind of a show that covers ME 1 through ME 3 in one sitting. The two of us were definitely nervous because we’ve never watched anyone watch the show before. We got laughs, interest and the occasional eye-roll at our cheesiness. Success!

They liked us! They really liked us! After the screening we got to chat with a group of really awesome people that intrigued us with their insights on the show, what they like about it, and where we can go with it. It was truly inspiring to hear such a strongly positive response from the audience, and gave us just the shot of pep we need to charge ahead into filming season 5, hopefully with a few added bonuses and modifications.

Geekily (and Excitedly) Yours,

Diana and Michael
